As the title suggests, this year’s “Rutcation” was an imminent battle with Mother Nature. No it wasn’t freezing temps that had us gritting our teeth this year, but rather unseasonably warm temperatures. My cousin Jared and I had etched our vacation days into the calendar long in advance hoping for a superb week of hunting the rut here in southeastern Wisconsin. As the first week of November grew closer and closer, the incoming forecast grew warmer and warmer.
