Sausage Bites


Talk about easy….quick….and good! It can be used as an appetizer or also great for parties and get togethers! We use our deer sausage in this recipe and everybody always wants a copy….or….for me to just make it and invite them over!!!… Submitted by Rhonda B.

Ingredients

– 1 lb. deer sausage

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon pepper

– 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion flakes

– 1 8 oz. cream cheese

– 10 whole jalapeno peppers

– 1 Box Panko bread crumbs

– 1 pound bacon

Directions

Brown the deer sausage in a medium skillet and set aside.

Wash the peppers, dry, slice lengthwise and remove seeds.

In a small bowl, mix cream cheese with the spices and roll into small logs.

Pour the bread crumbs on a plate and roll the cream cheese logs in the crumbs.

Put the cheese mixture inside the jalapeno pepper and wrap bacon around the pepper,securing with a toothpick.

Put on cookie sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes on 325 degrees or until bacon is done.

Dip in ranch dressing if desired.
