A play on Shepard’s pie. We call it Hunter’s pie!! Easy to make, filling and delicious!!
1 pound ground venison
2 cloves garlic
1 small white onion
1 can mixed veggies
1 can tomato soup
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 pouch of instant mashed potatoes
Shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 375°F
Heat olive oil in a fry pan. Chop onion and garlic and brown in the oil.
Add ground venison and cook until brown.
Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non stick cooking spray.
Add the venison to the baking dish.
Layer with can of mixed veggies.
Pour tomato soup over the top of the mixed veggies.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese.
Prepare the instant mashed potatoes and smooth over the top layer.
Sprinkle a little more grated Parmesan cheese.
Add grated cheddar cheese to the top.
Cover with tin foil and cook for 35 minutes.
Uncover and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
