Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin


If you ever needed a recipe to impress your guests, this is it! It takes a little extra preparation, but soooo worth it! Enjoy!!! Make this every year for hunting season. I guarantee you will want to keep making this all the time it is the Bomb!… Submitted by Janet C.

Ingredients

– 1/4 tsp. salt

– 1/4 tsp. onion powder

– 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

– 1/4 tsp. pepper

– 2 strips of bacon

– 1 lb. venison tenderloin

– 1 Tbsp. of butter

Directions

In small Bowl Combine Salt, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Pepper. Rub all sides of Tenderloin evenly with spice mixture.

Wrap Bacon Strips in spiral around Tenderloin, securing the end with tooth picks.

Heat 10′ cast iron skillet over medium heat. Melt butter in skillet.

Add Tenderloin. Cook for 4-6 minutes or until meat is browned on all sides. Reduce heat to low. Cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, or until meat is desired doneness, turn tenderloin occasionally .

Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
