It’s September and the freezer has been empty for a few months now. Last year was a tremendous deer season, however, I got caught up chasing one particular buck which lead to a lack of my normally substantial harvest of venison. This year was to be different. Never again do I want to fall short of my duties to provide a healthy source of protein for my family. The season opener was much anticipated. While I had dreams of bagging a giant opening day buck, I was just as excited when a heavy doe decided to step into my shooting lane. This is the story of my harvest from Woods to Table.
