Hunters United For Men’s Health

Legendary Whitetails

Hunters… it is November!  The Rut is on and men’s faces throughout North America and abroad are getting hairier by the minute as they prepare to head into the woods to find that buck of a lifetime.

MO… What?

This year Legendary Whitetails is taking “No Shave November” to the next level by joining a campaign called MOvember (us.movember.com).  What’s MOvember?  Simply stated, its men around the world growing moustaches for the entire month to raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.  That’s right guys… we’re talking about the stuff that we don’t like to discuss… Our health, but it’s important!

When you grow a MO (that’s short for moustache) you effectively become a walking, talking billboard for the 30 days of November.  Through your actions and words, you can raise awareness by starting the conversation that the majority of men typically choose to ignore about their own health.

And MOvember is a perfect for you… the Hunter, who is always attempting to grow a little facial hair this time of year.  We’re only asking for you to trim back the beard a little this month and make a visual statement to your deer hunting buddies in both the woods, at work, or anywhere you can start the conversation about men’s health.

And Legendary is making it fun!  Members of the Legendary staff, including myself, will be growing a MO and posting updated photos of ourselves periodically on our Team MOvember page (https://us.movember.com/team/549093).  We will also be offering a limited number of Legendary Pro Shot Caps for you to purchase for only $2 with $1 going to the MOvember campaign!  It’s an incredible cap, for an outrageous price for an even more important cause! Click here to see this incredible deal!

Not Just For The Guys…

While the growing of MO’s are limited to the guys, “Mo Sistas” (the ladies in our lives) play a vital role in the success of MOvember by supporting and encouraging the men in their life to get involved, participating in raising funds and the awareness, and of course, growing a MO.  A simple and kind word of encouragement, a periodic wink or a smile of recognition can go a long way to helping us make it through a month of growing… Lets face it, not everyone can grow a quality MO in 30 days, myself included, so the support from our ladies are important.  The women in our lives also have an important role in helping us break down the barriers and talk about our health.  Face it guys, if it was not for the women in our lives, who would we be?

My Story…

As far as me, this is my 3rd year involved with MOvember, and fittingly this year’s campaign is focused on “MOvember & Sons  – Health for Life.”  Men’s health is a cause I myself have become passionate about, and for those that know or have met my Dad they’ve probably heard about his struggles with 3 different types of cancers over the past 4+ years… including prostate cancer.  I’m hoping to make a difference again this year by growing a moustache, and by changing my facial appearance, start the conversations and raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

Interested?

Take some time today and check out the MOvember website (us.movember.com).  They have an incredible selection of information and statistics on men’s health, info on how to get involved, registering online, raising funds and awareness.  Or you can simply grow a MO and donate through a friend, family member or consider donating to the Legendary Whitetails Team (https://us.movember.com/team/549093)… Remember, Knowledge is Power, Moustache is King… Be An Ambassador in Camo this MOvember!
