The pavilion, located on village land north and east of the Slinger Middle School parking lot, is positioned to serve as a shelter for baseball fans and parents whose children play at Brandon’s Playground. “It’s nice to bring everybody in the community together on this project,” Rotary President Rick Gundrum said. Rotarian Ken Reiser spearheaded the fundraising effort. During the brief ceremony he recognized Harry Roethle, owner of HFR Electric who coordinated the project from conception through construction, designing the project and keeping it within budget, soliciting in-kind donations from Mike Stroik, Heartland Construction and Dodge County Concrete. A second project, the lighting of the second baseball field, was part of the fund drive. Reiser said the lighting will allow for an approximate 40 percent expansion of activity on that diamond. Lighting is expected to be installed before spring programming starts. The enterprise was a three-year project for the Rotary, which contributed $40,000 of the total $63,000 cost. "},{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
@id":"https://community.legendarywhitetails.com/#breadcrumbitem
Legendary Whitetail's Blog"}},{"@type":"ListItem
@id":"https://community.legendarywhitetails.com/blog/organizations-celebrate-finished-pavilion/#breadcrumbitem
Organizations Celebrate Finished Pavilion"}}]}]
